Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: STEREO A
Event Time: 2026-05-17T13:40Z ( STEREO A: IMPACT )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: IMPACT
STEREO A: PLASTIC
Activity ID: 2026-05-17T13:40:00-IPS-001 (version 4)
Quality of ICME Signature: 1 (lacks some signatures)
Note: Rapid magnetic field enhancement from 6 to 10 nT and later to 14 nT with no notable increase in velocity and a generally increasing density throughout the enhanced magnetic field signature. This is accompanied by what looks like rotation of all three magnetic field components, possibly indicative of the arrival of a coronal mass ejection.
